Scarce Birds in May

1 male Garganey on Butts Lagoon and 1 Wood Sanpiper on the flooded field at the sharp bend near the end of Lower Pennington lane on 14th May.
Wood Warblers are now in and singing.

The Wood Sandpiper is still there (25th May).

The Peregrines nesting on Fawley Power station Chimney appear to have 3 chicks this year. As I write this they are close to fledging, balancing precariously on the edge of the nest opening exercising their wings. Hopefully they wont fall like last year
