Topic: American Golden Plover and Osprey sighting (10th Oct) (Read 820 times)

Heather and Tracy visited Keyhaven today at around 1pm and saw both the American Golden Plover and the Osprey. The Plover was on the small lagoon inland with a group of Lapwings. Nearer to the car parking area and viewable from various places the Osprey was sat on a sunken pontoon with a group of Cormorants. Others had seen the Black necked Grebe on the nearest scrape to the road and a Merlin had been hunting along the outer marsh opposite the Plovers lagoon.

Excellent Tracey and Heather,
You did better than me. I went out on Monday afternoon and didn't see either!!
Has anyone else been to see this Yankee Plover?
