There have been a few Yellow-browed and Palla's Warbler in southern England recently. This is the time of year that they always turn up. They are about the same size as a Goldcrest (and the same shape) but they are green above, pale below and have pale wing bars and a pale eye-stripe. They most often hang around in flocks of Goldcrests or tit, so it is well worth looking out for them in these flocks, especially those at the coats. Good luck!
There has also been a Red-breasted Goose with the Canada Geese at Pennington, often on Fishtail Lagoon.
Simon Curson.
