An early morning Sunday stroll was the order of the day today. We started down through Brick Kiln Inclosure heading down towards Charlottes Meadow. Lots of fungi around at the moment, managed to get myself some Hedgehogs. As we got down to the meadow we found a red hind and her calf. We also spotted a very pretty little treecreeper so that was a real plus. There were no stags out on the heath today, but in a couple of weeks who knows!
We then went back up through Gritnam Woods to the sound of sparrowhawks calling. We also had the company of a lot of fallow as well. This was all rounded off with a quick drink in The Oak - always a welcome stop.
