Waders (20th July)
« on: July 20, 2008, 10:36:09 AM »

Sorry about thew short absense of the forum board - been a bit busy!

Waders are starting to return now with some Wood Sandpipers being seen and several Green Sandpipers.
Pennington and Keyhaven Marshes are good for both of these species as well as the Lower Test reserve near Totton.

As for rarities - there is a Pectoral Sandpiper (from USA) at Swineham Pits just east of Weymouth at the moment.

Also a White Stork was seen yesterday, just north of Ringwood - so keep your eyes open.

Simon Curson.
