Wild Gladioli (for interested florists) - 12th June
« on: June 12, 2007, 02:02:50 PM »

The wild gladioli at Shattereford are beginning to make a showing of themselves. One has produced a flower stalk and should flower in the near future. There appear to be others but are fairly early in their development.

They are in their usual place. Take path towards woods and Denny Lodge and fork right where the path divides. They can be seen just off the left-hand side of the path about 40 to fifty paces up.

The Gladioli can go over pretty quickly so if you want to see them going this week is going to be best.

Project Fred has no walks to look for them this year, but we shall do a Gladioli walk next June.
